**Performance Introduction** This is a contemporary music concert created by nine emerging composers. Blending instrumental music, electronic sound, and media art, the performance presents ten distinct musical worlds — each shaped by a different compositional voice — on a single stage. The concert is open and welcoming to those who are new to contemporary music. --- **Artistic Statement** *Liminal. Līmināris. Līmen-ālis.* *Līmen* — from *Līmus* — means threshold: the space between one place and another. *Limit*, *boundary* — *Līmes*, also from *Līmus* — means something that goes askew, cutting across. Between here and there. *Sublime* — *sub-līmen* — that which surges upward toward the threshold. *Subliminal* — *sub-līmen* — that which sinks quietly beneath it. The sublime does not live somewhere high above us. It lives in the small, still particles resting silently beneath the threshold — quietly luminous. **Liminal — on the boundary.**
