About this show
"What do we lose, what do we leave behind, and what do we carry with us?" This work begins with two fundamental human emotions: emptiness and loneliness. Choreographer Shin Youngjun draws from his own experience of living as a foreigner in Europe β the constant movement, the stillness, the unsettling sense of displacement β and translates these into the language of the body. While rooted in personal experience, the work goes beyond autobiography. His previous piece, *BUEN CAMINO*, explored the sense of recovery found through the act of walking. This new work takes a different turn β it is not a story of overcoming or healing, but rather a meditation on learning to exist alongside feelings that never fully go away. Caught between leaving and staying, Shin examines an identity in constant flux. Emptiness, here, is not simply absence β it is a sensation that quietly builds through the repetitions of daily life, until one day it makes you question the direction of your existence. Loneliness, too, is not just about being alone; it emerges even in the presence of others, in the silence between people. These two emotions meet on stage, intersect, and collide β revealing themselves in many different forms.
