**Paganini & Scheherazade — Roman Kim & Andimuzik** This concert brings together works from different eras and styles to explore music's essential power: its ability to stir human emotion and bring inner renewal. Against a backdrop of rapid environmental change and global conflict, Roman Kim and Andimuzik turn their focus to music's capacity for healing and emotional resonance — creating a shared experience that connects performers and audiences alike. **Program** The evening opens with *The Story of Neukgu in Bomun Mountain* by Korean composer Sung Hyuk Ahn — a orchestral suite inspired by a real incident in Daejeon. The work traces the journey of a creature through nature, capturing the shifting emotions of those who follow it: curiosity, tension, pursuit, anxiety, and finally relief. Its blend of tonal and atonal language paints a vivid portrait of the relationship between humans and the natural world. Next, Russian violinist Roman Kim — hailed as the Paganini of the 21st century — takes the stage as soloist in Paganini's *Violin Concerto No. 1 in D Major, Op. 6*. With breathtaking technique and expressive depth, he channels the full range of human emotion from tension to exhilaration. After intermission, Rimsky-Korsakov's *Scheherazade, Op. 35* is reimagined in a new orchestration by Minji Kim. This fresh arrangement distills the original's rich narrative and color into a more intimate sonic language, inviting listeners to hear a familiar masterpiece with new ears.
