**TCU Duo Recital: 20th-Century Music from America and Europe** Violinist Hyerim Lee and pianist Michael Bukhman bring their individual international careers and musical insights together for an intimate chamber music recital exploring how musical language evolved and expanded across the 20th century. The program opens with Korngold's *Much Ado About Nothing* Suite, a dramatic and cinematic work inspired by Shakespeare's beloved comedy. Ravel's *Violin Sonata No. 2* follows, blending jazz influences with modern sensibility — highlighted by the expressive Blues movement and the electrifying energy of the finale. After intermission, Messiaen's *Theme and Variations* unfolds from a simple theme into a rich tapestry of emotion and color. The program closes with Respighi's *Violin Sonata in B Minor*, a work full of late-Romantic lyricism and warmth that bridges the classical and modern worlds.
