About this show
Soprano Eun-Kyoung Kim, who once celebrated the 120th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic relations with a memorable recital in Paris, now returns to mark the 140th anniversary with a program reflecting the full depth of her artistry. Themed **"La voix naturelle" (The Natural Voice)**, the recital takes audiences on a journey across centuries of music. The program opens with highlights from French Baroque and Classical opera β arias by Campra, Rameau, and GrΓ©try β before moving into the heartfelt lyricism of Korean art songs by Sung-Eun Cho. The evening concludes with two charming works inspired by nature: *Les Chantefleurs* by Jean WiΓ©ner, a witty musical portrait of plants and animals, and *Cinq fables de La Fontaine* by RΓ©gis Campo, five spirited settings of La Fontaine's beloved fables. A long-standing cultural bridge between Korea and France, Kim brings her voice to this occasion as both a musical and historical celebration β an evening of pure, nature-inspired artistry and a tribute to 140 years of friendship between two nations.
