About this show
The third edition of **Jang Han-na's Daejeon Grand Festival** is here β a celebration of young, exceptionally talented musicians burning with passion. This year's theme, **"Joy of Music,"** explores music as a lifelong companion that embraces the full spectrum of human emotion. Artistic Director Jang Han-na, who has led the festival for three years, closes her tenure with a program that distills her artistic vision and musical philosophy. After journeys through *"Be Yourself!"* and *"Immortal Beloved"* in previous seasons, the festival arrives at its grand finale β a celebration of the pure joy that music brings. Expect the most dazzling lineup yet, featuring rising stars of the classical world alongside outstanding local musicians performing at the highest level. --- **Park Won-min**, winner of the 2025 Jang Han-na's Daejeon Grand Festival Audition, returns for a solo violin recital. He previously wowed audiences with a crisp and electrifying performance of Sarasate's *Carmen Fantasy* at the closing concert. Now an established next-generation star, he takes the stage with a richly varied program β spanning Bach, Beethoven, Paganini, and Hindemith alongside imaginative contemporary works β to showcase his ever-deepening artistry. --- **Program** - Beethoven β Violin Sonata No. 5 in F major, Op. 24 *"Spring"* - YsaΓΏe β *Caprice d'aprΓ¨s l'Γtude en forme de valse*, Op. 52 No. 6 - Poulenc β Violin Sonata, FP 119 - Wieniawski β Polonaise de concert No. 1 in D major, Op. 4 *Program is subject to change.*
