About this show

# Chang Han-na's Daejeon Grand Festival β€” Closing Concert The third and final edition of **Chang Han-na's Daejeon Grand Festival** is here. This year's theme, **"Joy of Music,"** explores music as a lifelong companion through the full spectrum of human emotion β€” joy, sorrow, anger, and everything in between. Artistic Director Chang Han-na, who has led the festival across all three seasons, brings her tenure to a close with a program that distills her artistic vision and musical philosophy. After celebrating *Be Yourself!* and *Immortal Beloved* in previous years, the festival reaches its grand finale by embracing the pure joy that music brings. The closing concert features the most dazzling lineup in the festival's history, anchored by rising stars of the classical world alongside outstanding local musicians. **Soloists** include legendary trumpeter **Tine Thing Helseth**, cellist **Ettore Pagano** (Queen Elisabeth Competition winner, 2026), and a promising young pianist selected through a live audition. The festival's beloved signature segment, **TUTTI**, returns with over 200 community members joining the orchestra on stage for a truly unforgettable finale. --- **PROGRAM** - Tchaikovsky β€” Variations on a Rococo Theme *(Ettore Pagano, cello)* - Grieg β€” Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16 *(2026 Audition Winner, piano)* *β€” Intermission β€”* - Haydn β€” Trumpet Concerto in E-flat Major *(Tine Thing Helseth, trumpet)* - Wagner β€” TannhΓ€user Overture (Paris Version) **β˜… TUTTI β€” Community Special Stage** - Grieg β€” Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op. 46: I. *Morning Mood* & IV. *In the Hall of the Mountain King*
