Traveling in the Footsteps of Admiral Yi Sun-sin
About
Tongyeong is an abbreviation of Samdosuguntongjeoyeong and is a region where many historical sites associated with Admiral Yi Sun-sin remain to this day. Visitors can trace the footsteps of the great admiral at Chungyeolsa, which displays the Palsapum โ gifts presented by the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty โ as well as Sebyeonggwan, one of the largest traditional wooden structures in Korea, and Jeseungdang, the former headquarters of the Samdosuguntongjeoyeong. The sunset viewed from Dara Park is simply a bonus that makes any trip to Tongyeong all the more memorable.
